Please ensure that you are fully aware of the possibilities and limitations of the Four Wheel Hoe, as described here. Key points are that the hoe will NOT work on ridges, it requires a flat soil surface across its working width. It needs a fine soil tilth without large stones, clods and not to much large plant residue to be effective. Crop rows must be reasonably straight and even-widths. It is strongly recommended that you read the instruction manual to fully appreciate how the hoe works and its limitations and the blade length guide which contains important information on deciding what blade size to order. You can either order a standard size set of hoes, which you can cut down to your optimum size yourself, or at an additional cost of £10.00 excl. VAT you can specify the exact length of hoe you require which you can work out from using the blade length guide.
The design of the wheel hoe for the UK / EU varies from some of the descriptions and photos on this site and the associated documents. The major change is the use of stainless steel for the frame, clamps legs and tools rather than galvanised mild steel. This is considered a significant benefit as stainless is even more resistant to rusting than galvanising and is also harder. The handle clamp system has been altered so that the vertical and horizontal adjustments are controlled separately and the handles are now painted rather than being galvanised. Photos below.
The price of a Four Wheel Hoe is £580 excluding VAT and postage and packaging is £60.00. Orders of more than one hoe are charged P&P at the same rate for each hoe (because each hoe is at the maximum package size for couriers and so has to be shipped separately)

Please note that there is a limit of one additional pair of hoes plus a pair of legs and clamps due to the maximum courier weight limit. If you wish to order more parts or are ordering them separately from a hoe, additional P&P charges of £20.00 will apply.
Important VAT information
For the European Union market the Four Wheel Hoe is manufactured in The Republic of Ireland. Outside of Ireland (inc. Northern Ireland) sales are treated as an 'intra-Community supply' for tax purposes. If you are registered for VAT in the UK (or other EU country of business) you can be billed without Irish VAT being charged and you then pay UK VAT (or the EU country you are VAT registered in). If you are not VAT registered you will be billed for VAT at the Irish VAT rate which is 21.5%. If you are VAT registered you must supply your registered business address and your VAT number. These must match the data held on the EU VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) if they do not we will unable to supply the hoe without charging VAT. Please therefore ensure the information you send us matches that on the VIES system by checking it yourself.

Once your order has been placed the manufacturers Ballinadee Eng. Ltd. will send you a pro-forma invoice which must be paid before delivery. Payment is via direct bank transfer to Ballinadee Eng. Ltd's bank account in the Republic of Ireland . Details of the account are given on the invoice. Please ensure that you are able to pay by direct bank transfer to an Irish bank before ordering the hoe.
Delivery time for your order will be in the region of two to four weeks.
